The first thing you will probably notice on unboxing your Swagcycle EB-5 is that it comes fully assembled and ready to go right out of the box, which is great for anyone who doesn’t want to have to put anything together themselves, or pay extra to have it done for them by a professional.
This electric bicycle is built around a lightweight aluminium frame, it weighs just 37lbs/16.8kg and has a triple-folding design to give you ultimate portability along with numerous storage possibilities. When you have your Swagtron EB-5 electric bike folded down you can stow it away in practically any compact space; in a closet, the trunk of your car, even under your desk, you can even take it on the subway with you!
The Swagcycle EB-5 also has a fully height adjustable seat and handlebars and can be adjusted to be ridden comfortably by riders ranging from approximately 4ft 7 ins, all the way through to 5ft 11ins tall. There is also a latch on the handlebars that can be released to rotate the whole handlebar through a full 360° to put your wrists in the most comfortable grip position as you ride.
This ebike is powered by a 250W hub motor which features an inbuilt high-efficiency aluminium heat sink to help prevent overheating and ensure optimum performance, and is powered by a long lasting, rechargeable 36V Lithium-Ion battery which can be fully charged in just 4-5 hours via the bikes on board charging port with inbuilt water resistant plug for protection against the elements.
Once fully charged the Swagcycle EB-5 holds enough power for a 15.5 mile ride when used solely as an e-bike, and you can extend the mileage range by pedaling and using it as an assisted bike.
To ensure your Swagtron EB-5 stops right when you need it to it is fitted with an advanced braking system incorporating special Autoguard technology. This outstanding safety feature ensures that the bikes motor automatically cuts out, even if you are turning the throttle, as soon as the brake levers are pulled, giving you effective and immediate stopping power in a split second.
For added comfort and better gripping of the road, the Swagcycle Swagtron EB-5 has air filled rubber tires fitted around 14 inch wheels, and for convenience and easy maintenance the bike also has quick-disconnect power cables. There is also a kickstand on the rear wheel.
A couple of things this electric bicycle doesn’t have, and which you may wish to take note of are a horn, and a headlight, which means this particular e-bike isn’t really suitable for night riding.
