And Now Let’s Take A Look At The Differences…

Cyclamatic CX3 Pro Power Plus

The main difference between the Cyclamatic Power Plus CX1 and the Cyclamatic Pro Power Plus CX3 is the weight. Where the CX1 has a steel frame, the CX3 has an aluminium alloy frame which makes it lighter, giving it faster acceleration and making it easier to handle.

This doesn’t do very much to improve the speed however, the CX1 has a top speed of 15 mph, and the top speed of the CX3 is only very slightly higher as 15.5 mph. The reduced weight of the CX3 does however give it a significantly greater range at 37 miles, as opposed to the 31 mile range of the CX1 which is pretty good.

The CX3 also has a longer lasting battery. Both bikes have a 36 V lithium-ion battery, however the CX3 has a 10.4 Ah battery, and the CX1 has a 8.8 Ah battery meaning the CX3 battery will last around 14 minutes longer when riding at full power, which translates to around an extra 3 miles per charge.

There is also a significant difference in the power assist features of these electric mountain bikes. The Cyclamatic CX1 has 3 levels – low, medium, and high, whereas the CX3 has 9 power assist levels for greater versatility.

And as you would probably expect, there is also a difference in the prices of these bikes. The Cyclamatic Power Plus CX1 comes in at £649.99, and the Cyclamatic CX3 Pro Power Plus will set you back an additional £70.00 at £719.99.

So What Exactly Do You Get For The Extra Money?

You get a lighter bike with improved handling an acceleration, a slightly higher top speed, an extra 6 miles travelling distance per battery charge and a superior power assist feature. For some riders these extras will be well worth the higher price, and for others they won’t. This is something that is for the individual rider to decide for themselves.

So, which of these two electric bikes would make the perfect choice for you?

As we mentioned at the start, whichever one you do decide to go for, you’ll be getting a really good electric bike. There’s really not that much between them so…

If you’re looking for a well made quality electric bike with all the features of a premium mountain bike – a strong and durable frame, excellent brakes, great suspension, a smooth and reliable gear shift system, quality tyres, with a decent range of travel and top speed, with the added feature of power assisted riding and a pretty powerful motor and top quality battery, which you can use on virtually all terrains and in all weathers for weekday commutes and weekend off road riding, we recommend the Cyclamatic CX1.

On the other hand, if you’re looking for all of the above, but with a lighter frame, improved acceleration, a greater range of travel, a longer lasting battery, more levels of power assist, and don’t mind paying an additional £70.00 for these little extras, then we say why not treat yourself and go for the Cyclamatic CX3?
