Volt Metro Folding Electric Bike Review…

The Volt Metro is delivered almost fully assembled, there is a small amount of putting together required, nothing major, however, if you don’t want to do this yourself the seller will ship the bike to your local bike shop for them to finish putting together and check over before you collect it from them at no extra charge. All assembly costs are covered by the seller. Not a bad start at all.

This folding electric  bike is among the easiest to fold, carry, and store away that we have seen. It features a triple folding frame for the ultimate in space saving and convenience. The bikes frame literally folds in half lengthways at the release of a catch, the handlebar stem folds down, and the pedals also fold making the bike easily storable in the most compact of spaces.

This e-bike is available in either black or white and comes with the choice of 2 battery sizes. The batteries are removable Panasonic lithium-ion 36 V, 10 Ah, which gives enough power to travel 40+ miles per charge, and a larger 36 V 16 Ah battery which gives 60+ miles per charge, the larger being the more expensive of the 2 options.

The battery locks in place via a key on the bikes frame to prevent it being stolen as they are expensive. The battery can be fully charged either on the bike, or off it as you wish and when it is fully charged holds enough power to travel distances of up to 60+ miles, depending on which size battery you select, at speeds of up to 15.5 mph.

The Volt Metro Folding Electric Bike is driven by a powerful 250 W, rear hub Spin Tech electric motor which works well with the bikes lightweight aluminium frame to make it a very nippy little machine indeed. At full power it pulls quite well, even with heavier riders, and it’s great for taking the hard work out of hill climbing, as well as making riding on the flat seem like the pedaling is being done for you.

The bikes Shimano Alivio 8-speed gear system gives smooth, accurate and reliable shifting and along with the power assist feature allow the bike to adapt to changes in riding conditions easily and effectively for a smoother and more comfortable ride, plus the Suntour front suspension forks and the suspension in the seat post, along with the super comfortable Velo Plush saddle do a pretty amazing job of taking care of any bumps in the road you may come across.

Something else we really like about this bike is the tyres. The Volt Metro is fitted with high quality, tough puncture-resistant tyres, which are backed up by super thick, anti-puncture inner tubes which make them virtually invincible even under more extreme riding conditions, plus they also give good grip in wet and dry riding conditions and are built to last by industry leaders Kenda.

Additionally, for safe, reliable and effective stopping power in all weather conditions and on all types of terrain, the Volt Metro is fitted with Shimano M375 lever operated front and rear mechanical disc brakes allowing you to ride with confidence knowing you can stop on time, every time, no matter what.

All in all, this is definitely an electric bike we recommend taking a good look at. It folds down easily and quickly, is one of the lightest electric bikes on todays market, it’s comfortable to ride and handles really well.

Once your Cyclamatic Pro CX4 is delivered, all you really need to do by way of assembly is tighten up a few nuts and bolts and that’s basically it. Once you’ve done that you’re left with a pretty cool looking electric bike.

The most outstanding feature of this bike for most people will probably be its folding frame. In fact, the CX4 has a triple-fold design, whereby the handlebar stem folds down, the pedals fold up, and the actual frame itself folds in half, making it really easy to store away in compact spaces. It even folds down small enough to fit under your desk at work if you have one, and will also fit easily into the boot of an average sized car.

This bears out the manufacturers claim that the Cyclamatic CX4 is the ideal electric bike for travelling holidays. We would go a step further though and say that this bike is also perfect for commuters and anyone wanting an electric bike that they can take virtually anywhere with them via car, bus or train. At 20 kg it is quite heavy to carry though which is a bit of a drawback.

The Cyclamatic CX4 is driven by a 250 W rear hub brushless electric motor and powered by a heavy-duty 24 V, 10 Ah removable lithium-ion battery, which is fully sealed making the bike safe to use in wet and rainy conditions. You can charge the battery either on or off the bike in 4-6 hours and it also locks in place to prevent theft.

Once fully charged there is enough power to travel distances up to 25 miles, at speeds of up to 15½ mph on the flat. Speed, distance, and power will be reduced when riding up hills, the steeper the incline the faster the battery will drain, and we wouldn’t recommend trying to ride uphill on electric power alone.

The pedal assist feature of this bike kicks in as you begin to pedal and works pretty well to take the effort out of riding especially on hills. This bike also features a set of 6-speed Shimano gears which make tackling more difficult terrain much easier, and also give reliable and accurate shifting between the gears making for a smoother ride.

The Cyclamatic Pro CX4 is also a pretty comfortable bike to ride. It has lockable front suspension forks and rear suspension too which work well to cushion against bumps in the road and make riding on rougher surfaces much more comfortable too.

One thing that spoiled this bike for us is that it doesn’t come with a headlight or a horn, and so unless you add these yourself this bike isn’t really suitable for riding at night. It does come with a rear reflector and reflector strips on the pedals but that’s all.

Nevertheless, on the whole this e-bike does live up to the manufacturers claims and if you’re in the market for a quality folding electric bike, this one is well worth checking out.

As with many electric bikes today, the Limitless Sharing TDL6162 City Dutch ebike does require a small amount of self assembly on delivery, which is just a matter of fitting the front wheel, adjusting the brakes, tightening the bottom bracket, fitting the handlebars and saddle, things like that, nothing major at all and pretty quick and easy to do.

So, what do you get with this bike and how does it ride?

The TDL6162 features a step through aluminium alloy frame which makes the bike lightweight, while at the same time incredibly strong and hard-wearing, and also easy to get on and off for riders of all ages and fitness levels, and is designed to carry riders weighing up to 100 kg/220 lbs.

This Limitless Sharing electric bicycle also features a front suspension fork which does a pretty decent job of absorbing any bumps in the road which you may encounter, along with front and rear double wall alloy rims for improved strength and acceleration, and inflatable 26″ Kenda tyres which are a decent quality tyre, not top of the range by any means, but they still provide a pretty good grip on most terrains and are pretty hard-wearing too, and, in the case of this particular bike they also work well alongside the wide sprung saddle to further cushion against bumps.

The Limitless Sharing TDL6162 is driven by a powerful 250 W rear hub brushless motor, which is powered by a 36 V, 10 Ah removable lithium-ion battery, which can be charged either on or off the bikes frame in 5-8 hours. Once it is fully charged it provides enough power for you to travel up to 60 km, at speeds of up to 25 km/h, and it’s pretty good at taking the effort out of riding up hills too.

This electric bike has 3 levels of power assist, plus a 6 km/h cruise option, and you can also ride it as an e-bike on throttle only power, or as a standard pedal bike. You can also combine all 3 of these options and extend the length of your ride if you wish.

This bike also has a set of 7-speed Shimano gears which really do help to take the hard work out of riding on difficult terrains, especially riding up hills. Changing up and down through the gears is smooth and reliable, and done via the easy to reach and operate controls on the handlebar.

And finally, for safety should you be riding at night time, or in low-lit conditions, this bike also comes with front and rear lights and reflector strips on the spokes of both wheels. The only thing it doesn’t have, and which you may want to fit yourself is a horn or a bell.

Overall, the Limitless Sharing TDL6162 is a well made electric bicycle which is easy to get on and off, gives a solid and comfortable ride however you decide to ride it, and is great value for money too.

We have to say right at the outset here that the NCM Moscow electric mountain bike is a phenomenal machine. Imagine an electric bike that is put together using only the highest quality components from leading manufacturers, combine this with German engineering and technological know how, and then make all this available at a very reasonable price, and what you end up with is the NCM Moscow.

This e-bike is built around a 100% aluminium frame making it strong and durable while at the same time keeping the bikes weight down to a minimum which translates to super fast acceleration and an extended range of travel. This bike also features a 100% aluminium alloy Suntour front suspension fork for improved riding comfort.

The NCM Moscow electric bike is driven by a powerful Das-Kit 48 V, 250 W, brushless rear hub motor, with planetary gear making it highly efficient with a high torque-to-weight ratio, and which is super quiet during use, and also maintenance free too.

The motor is powered by a high-capacity Dehawk 48 V, 13Ah integrated removable lithium-ion battery which can be charged either on or off the bike as you require in around 7 hours for a completely empty battery. Once you have your battery fully charged you will have enough power to travel distances up to 75 miles in power assist mode, at speeds of up to 15½ mph.

The NCM Moscow’s motor also has the unique ability to increase the amount of power on steep inclines making hill climbing almost effortless, plus the bikes Tektro mechanical disc brakes have sensors in the right brake lever which cuts the motor when the levers are applied for increased control and reduced stopping distance for powerful and reliable braking however fast you may be travelling.

For smooth pedaling and shifting up and down through the gears, this bike is also fitted with  a 21-speed Shimano Altus  gear system and crank set to give you a more comfortable ride when encountering different road conditions and inclines. And for additional riding comfort, the handlebars have top-quality Velo ergonomic hand grips which offer 2 hand placement options allowing you to ride for longer without any hand soreness.

You also get a Das-Kit L7B adjustable back-lit display monitor which shows your speed in mph/km/h, distance traveled, again in miles and kilometers, your cycling duration, total and current mileage, battery capacity, and assist levels. The display unit and control buttons are located on the left handlebar within easy reach allowing it to be operated without you having to take your hands off the handlebar.

The NCM Moscow also features Schwalbe SMART SAM tyres, a Promax SP-252 seatpost, and Wellgo B087 pedals, and weighs in at 27 kg including the battery. There is also a built in USB port so that you can charge your devices on the go.

Like all Cyclamatic electric bikes, the Cyclamatic CX3 Pro Power Plus does require a small amount of self assembly before it’s ready to ride. Don’t worry though, it’s not difficult, you don’t need any special skills or experience, it’s pretty quick and easy to do and the necessary tools and assembly instructions (of sorts) are included with the bike.

The bike itself is built around a 19″ lightweight alloy frame. Because this bike is lighter than other electric bikes in the same class, it has faster acceleration, better pulling away power, and can travel greater distances per battery charge, plus it also features front suspension forks which do a pretty good job of cushioning against lumps and bumps in the road.

The Cyclamatic CX3 Pro is driven by a pretty powerful 250 W brushless rear hub electric motor, which gets its power from a removable, fully sealed, high-spec lithium 36 V, 10.4 Ah battery which can be fully charged either on or off the frame in just 4-6 hours. Once you have the battery fully charged, the bike has enough power to travel up to 37 miles at a top speed of 15.5 mph.

The 9 levels of power assistance that this bike has make riding it very easy indeed, and that’s on both flat surfaces and inclines. It actually feels like the motor is doing around 80% of the work for you, which is great, especially on hills, and this applies to pulling away and hill starts too.

The brakes on the CX3 are pretty keen and provide almost instant and effective stopping power. Be careful to properly adjust them before first riding the bike though just to make sure that they don’t stop you too abruptly.

This bike also features a 6-speed Shimano gear shifter which works well alongside the power assist feature to take the hard work out of your ride, while providing smooth and reliable shifting up and down through the gears for a smoother ride, and they also come into their own when riding the CX3 as a standard pedal bike with no help from the motor or throttle.

All in all, the Cyclamatic CX3 Pro Power Plus is quite an impressive electric bike with good acceleration, good stopping power, good range of travel, and its a comfortable bike to ride too, and well worth checking out.

As with all Cyclamatic electric bikes, the Cyclamatic GTE Pro is delivered flat packed and you will need to put some of it together yourself, which you can do easily in less than 30 minutes, even if you’ve never put a bike together before in your life. Alternatively, you can always take it to your local, bike shop and pay them to do it for you if you prefer.

The bike itself features a step-through aluminium frame, which make getting on and off the bike really easy for both men and women of all ages, 26″ wheels, and is designed for riders from approximately 5 ft 4 ins up to 6 ft 2 ins, and weighing up to 110 kg, or 242 lbs.

The Cyclamatic GTE Pro is driven by a 250 W brushless motor which gets its power from a 24 V removable lithium-ion battery, which locks in place on the rear carrier, and which can be charged either on or off the bike as you prefer. The battery is also fully sealed making it waterproof and the bike safe to use in the rain.

Once fully charged, the battery holds enough power for you to ride distances of up to 37 miles, at speeds of up to 15 mph, and along with the bikes 7-speed Shimano gears really does take the hard work and effort out of riding up some pretty steep hills.

For your safety, this bike also features front and rear lights which are operated via a button on the handlebars, and it also has reflector strips on the pedals and wheel spokes, plus a bell for safer riding at night. For effective stopping power when you need it, this bike also features a front V-brake, and a rear expansion brake, both operated via brake levers on the handlebars.

In addition, the Cyclamatic GTE Pro also comes with a tilt-and-lock saddle feature which makes removing and replacing the battery after charging really easy, a quick-release front wheel, front and rear mudguards, and a rear storage rack, and weighs in at 27 kg including the battery.

The Cyclamatic CX2 is a great choice of electric bike for commuters, holidaymakers, sightseers, caravanners, and anyone who enjoys the freedom of exploring the great outdoors from the seat of a bicycle.

This bike folds down pretty small. In fact, small enough to easily fit 2 of them in the boot of an average car. It’s quick and easy to fold too, the frame literally fold in half via a quick lock release catch, and the handlebar stem and pedals also fold down too, making it easy to store at home, or work in a limited space, or in the luggage compartment of buses and trains if required.

The only downside is that it doesn’t have anything to secure it in the folded position like a clip or something similar, and at 19 kg without the battery, and 23 kg with the battery, it’s also a bit heavy to be carrying around with you.

The Cyclamatic CX2 is driven by a powerful 250 W brushless rear hub motor, which is powered by a 36 V, 8.8Ah, removable lithium battery, and can be fully charged in 4-6 hours, either on. or off the bike. The battery is also waterproof making the bike safe to use in the rain. Once fully charged the CX2 has enough power to travel distances of up to 31 miles, at speeds of up to 15 mph.

You also get 2 working modes with this bike. You can ride it as a standard bicycle with no electrical power at all, and do all the work yourself, or you can rode it as an assisted bike where the motor kicks in and helps you along meaning far less effort is required on your part. This bike really comes into its own on hills where it allows you to effortlessly overtake struggling cyclists.

The Cyclamatic CX2 also features a 6-speed Shimano gear shift system for smooth and reliable shifting and improved hill climbing capability, front and rear mudguards, a powerful LED front headlight and a rear reflector for safer night riding, but sadly no electric horn but an ordinary bicycle bell instead.

The first thing you will notice on unboxing your Goplus 20″ Electric Mountain Bike is that there is a small amount of assembly to be done on your part before the bike is ready for action. You will need to fit the front wheel, handlebars, front brake, pedals and headlight, which should take you only around 20-30 minutes, even though there are no instructions included.

Once you have your Goplus 20″ fat tire bike fully assembled it does look pretty amazing it has to be said. It may be a little smaller than you expect though so here are the actual dimensions, the bike is 66 inches in length, 24 inches wide and 39 inches high.

This Goplus 20″ electric bike is built around a 100% aluminum alloy frame making it incredibly strong and durable while also being extremely lightweight. It weighs in at just 64 lbs. The front forks have shock absorbers which are pretty decent at absorbing lumps, bumps  small potholes and curbs, plus the seat post has shock absorbers too, which together with the front forks do a good job at making your ride a comfortable one on both rough and smooth terrain.

The Goplus 20″ electric mountain bike is driven by a surprisingly quiet, yet powerful 350W brushless, low vibration electric motor, which is powered by a 48V 8Ah lithium-ion battery, which takes around 8 hours to fully charge, and can be recharged, on or off the bike, in as little as 2 hours depending on how depleted the battery is. If you’re wondering where the battery is located, it’s fixed to the lower part of the frame and locked in place with a key. There have been some cases of the battery working itself loose during riding, this may be worth keeping in mind.

Once fully charged your Goplus fat tire electric bike has enough power to travel up to 25 miles at speeds of up to 17mph. The battery also powers the horn, which is easily loud enough to do its job, and also the LED headlight, which is adequate but we think could be brighter, to make for safer night riding, and both of which are operated via button controls adjacent to the bikes battery/power meter on the handlebars.

For smooth and effortless riding, the Goplus 20″ electric bike has 3 power assist levels plus a set of 6-speed Shimano gears which work well on tricky terrain, as well as hills, to take any hard work and exertion out of your ride, and for easily adequate braking power when you need it, this bike is also fitted with front and rear mechanical disc brakes, and not hydraulic brakes as mentioned in the bikes Amazon.com listing, and anti-skid, wear resistant knobbly 20″ inflatable tires.

The tires on this bike are knobbly 26″ X 4″ inflatable fat tires which provide a really decent grip on all terrains, and work well along with the front suspension to cushion against bumps in the road for a more comfortable ride. And to make your ride as smooth as possible, the Cyrusher XF660 has a 7-speed Shimano gear system featuring a TY300D rear derailleur for smooth and reliable shifting whatever the terrain.

The frame is constructed from a high-strength, precipitation-hardened aluminum alloy which is extremely corrosion resistant while being incredibly durable and lightweight. The front suspension forks are also aluminum and manage to absorb smaller bumps on rugged terrain quite effectively.

This Merax electric bike is driven by a powerful 350W high speed motor which is powered by a removable and rechargeable 36V 8.8Ah lithium-ion battery which locks securely in place on the bike using a key, and can be fully charged in 5-6 hours. Once fully charged, the battery holds enough power to give you up to 28 miles of travel, at speeds of up to 32 km/h.

You can use the Merax 26″ as an E-bike, where you engage the throttle and let the motor do all the work as you relax and enjoy your ride, or as a Power Assisted Bike where you are helped along by the motor kicking in as you pedal. One thing that really makes this bike stand out from the rest is that it gives you 5 levels of assistance, where other models offer only 3. This could make the battery and power consumption of the bike more economical. The levels are adjusted via the Digital LED Panel on the handlebars.
