Ancheer Folding Electric Bike Review…
One of the first tings you will notice on receiving your Ancheer 20″ folding bike is that there is a small amount of assembly to be done before it is ready to use, tools and instructions are included and you should be all done in 30-60 mins. And once your bike is fully assembled and the battery charged you are ready to go.
As far as looks go, the Ancheer folding electric bike may not be quite as stylish as the Swagcycle EB-5 and EB-7, however it is still a pretty cool looking bike. The frame is constructed from aluminium alloy making it really durable while also being very lightweight making it easy to carry when folded down. To fold the bike down you just release the locking latch on the frame and literally fold the bike in half.
Folding this electric bike, as mentioned above, is also how you get to the 36V 8Ah lithium-ion battery which is housed inside the actual frame,unlike on some electric bikes where it is attached to the seat post. Being inside the frame the battery is protected from the elements and can be charged either on or off the bike in 4-6 hours using the Smart Lithium Battery Charger.
The Ancheer folding electric bike is driven by a 250W high speed brushless electric motor and can travel up to 30 miles on a single charge at speeds of up to 15 mph, and carrying loads of up to 150 kg/330 lbs.
For safe and efficient stopping this electric bike is fitted with a standard bike front brake, you will have to disconnect this to fit the front wheel and then reconnect it, and a rear disc brake, that do work well together when applied.
The 20″ wheels on this Ancheer folding electric bike are made from a double layer aluminium alloy giving them strength and stability while remaining light for a smoother ride with less feeling of drag, and the front forks which are made from high strength carbon steel have pretty decent shock absorbers for a more comfortable ride.
And for safer night riding, this particular Ancheer folding electric bike also comes with a fairly loud horn, plus a strong and bright LED headlight, both of which, along with the bikes 7-speed Shimano gears and the power control display, are operated via the controls on the handlebars, which along with the seat can be adjusted in height to suit taller riders comfortably.
All in all this is a pretty decent bike. It has 2 working modes. You can use it as an electric bike and not have to pedal at all, just let the motor do all the work, or you can use it as an assisted bike. In assisted mode you have the choice of 3 levels of assistance. The difference in these levels is very noticeable and the bike can also handle inclines that aren’t overly steep with ease.
The saddle is comfortable, the bike may need a bit of getting used to in terms of maneuverability for some riders, particularly on corners, but it doesn’t take much practice to overcome. The tires are decent quality too and are good on rough and smooth surfaces, making this bike suitable for off road riding, and when you get to where you’re going, there’s a kickstand too.
When all is said and done the Ancheer folding electric bike is a very good ride.
