Cyrusher XF660 Fat Tire Bike Review…
While looks may not be everything, it has to be said that the Cyrusher XF66O Fat Tire Bike does look pretty good, with a strong and stylish modern mountain bike design which indicates it is ready to take on anything.
The bikes frame is constructed from a lightweight, strong and durable aluminum alloy for optimum performance and the front forks are also aluminum alloy and feature a specialized lockout suspension system which is designed for comfortable riding in snowy conditions.
Cyrusher have also updated the handlebar design for the XF660 so you can now adjust the actual angle of the handlebars to match the angle of your body in riding position, and the seat is also fully adjustable making for a far more comfortable ride. Cyrusher also have handlebar height adapters, which are available separately, for this bike in case you need to raise the height of the handlebars too.
The Cryusher XF660 fat tire bike is driven by an inbuilt 500W High Power Electric Motor which is specially designed for use in snowy conditions, and is powered by a removable, rechargeable, and waterproof Panasonic 48V 10.4Ah lithium ‘water bottle’ battery, which locks into position via a key, and which can be charged either on or off the bike in under 3 hours.
Once fully charged, the battery holds enough power for you to travel distances of up to 35 miles at speeds of up to 25 mph. The battery also powers the impressively bright front LED headlight, which is adjustable and can be set at whichever angle suits you best, and also the electric horn, which make for safer riding at night or in other low-lit conditions.
The tires on this bike are knobbly 26″ X 4″ inflatable fat tires which provide a really decent grip on all terrains, and work well along with the front suspension to cushion against bumps in the road for a more comfortable ride. And to make your ride as smooth as possible, the Cyrusher XF660 has a 7-speed Shimano gear system featuring a TY300D rear derailleur for smooth and reliable shifting whatever the terrain.
For smooth and effective stopping when you need it, the Cyrusher XF660 fat tire bike is fitted with some pretty decent dual disc brakes, these may need adjusting slightly before you first use the bike and it’s really easy to do, and they are certainly capable of stopping this bike dead even when travelling at top speed. Obviously stopping distances do vary according to terrain.
When it comes to riding the Cyrusher XF660 fat tire bike you have 3 options. You can ride it as a standard pedal bike and not engage the electrical system at all, this means you doing all the work…or you can ride it in power assisted mode where you have 3 levels of assistance and the motor kicks in and helps you along as you pedal, or you can use it in ebike mode where you just twist the throttle and relax as the motor does all the work for you.
On the whole, this is a pretty impressive fat tire electric bike even at its current price point, however, as they say, you do have to pay for quality.
